The position is still a problem for Liverpool despite the excellent efforts of James Milner in the role this season.

Durmisi plays for Real Betis and has a buy out clause set at £17million after signing from Brondby last summer.

He played against Liverpool in a pre-season friendly in 2014 and almost scored from a free-kick which hit the bar.

Liverpool are weighing up a number of options including in forward areas with Bayer Leverkusen's 20-year-old Germany international Julian Brandt a player they continue to monitor.

Eupen's 19-year-old Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru has also been recommended.

Watford striker Odion Ighalo is weighing up fresh offers from China as he considers a move away from Vicarage Road.

Hebei China Fortune are understood to have held talks with his representatives on Wednesday evening.

Ighalo is ready to leave after Watford moved to add two more strikers this week with Mauro Zarate arriving from Fiorentina and M'Baye Niang from AC Milan.
