The 24-year-old has agreed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Palace and will be able to play against West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Allardyce said: 'I am delighted we have been able to secure Jeffrey's services, he is a player I have admired for some time and is a talented and athletic player.
'He will bring strength and experience to the defence and will be a major asset for the club having just turned 24 years old'.
Schlupp made 150 appearances for Leicester after making his first-team debut for the Foxes in 2011.
He played 24 times for Leicester last season as they managed to win the Premier League title.
The Hamburg-born defender, who can also play on the left-wing, has also been capped 12 times by the Ghana national team.
