Bayern Munich confident Robert Lewandowski will sign new bumper deal with ongoing talks 'looking good'

Bayern Munich are increasingly confident that star forward Robert Lewandowski will sign a contract extension with the Bundesliga champions.
The Poland international has been scoring freely with 77 goals in 113 games since arriving in Bavaria from rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2014 - prompting the club to offer him a two-year extension on his current deal which expires in June 2019.
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that negotiations have taken place and were 'looking good', with the club hopeful that a deal can be struck sooner rather than later.

'Things are looking good,' Rummenigge told Sport Bild.
'Talks have been ongoing for a number of days and we have gotten off to a good start. And what goes on for a while usually results in something good...
'When we reach an agreement with Lewandowski, we will announce it the day after. We will not be making a spectacle out of it.'
The 28 year-old's agent Maik Barthel, however, insists no agreement has been reached yet for the striker who netted 10 goals from 13 games in all competitions for Bayern this season.

Lewandowski, who has been linked with Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and several Premier League clubs after scoring 30 goals last season, currently earns £8.5million-a-year, but a new deal could see that rise to around £13million.
Bayern have also moved to tie up veteran forwards Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben to one-year extensions with their contracts set to expire next summer.
The two wingers were both integral to the club's treble winning success in 2013, but have struggled with injuries over recent seasons
